3 Things you need to know before your wedding

So you’ve found your soulmate, popped the question, and now it’s time to tie the knot in the City of Angels! Los Angeles, with its stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and endless possibilities, provides a perfect backdrop for your special day. But you can easily get overwelmed in the whirlwind of venue hunting and cake tastings.

so with that in mind let’s break down the top 3 things you need to get married in Los Angeles, ensuring your path to “I do” is smooth sailing.

1. Marriage License.

You will need to obtain a marriage license from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. You can apply for a marriage license online or in person at one of their branch offices. The fee for a marriage license is currently $61.

2. Wedding Officiant

You will need an officiant to perform your wedding ceremony. An officiant can be a religious leader, a judge, or a commissioner. If you are having a civil ceremony, you can have a commissioner marry you. Commissioners are authorized by the state of California to perform marriages..

3. Wedding Venue

Your wedding venue is more than just a place, it sets the stage for your entire celebration! It influences everything from the ceremony ambience to the reception flow. Finding the perfect venue ensures you have the space to accommodate your guest list, reflects the vibe you’re going for, and provides a foundation for creating those unforgettable memories.

So, knowing the things you’ll need is one thing, but actually getting it done and having a smooth beautiful wedding is another.

But don’t worry, we’re here to help.

We had an amazing experience with our wedding officiant, Andy. From the very beginning, he was incredibly communicative and always available to answer any questions we had, which made the entire planning process feel so much easier and less overwhelming. He made both my husband and me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. On the day of the ceremony, everything flowed so smoothly! Andy created such a calm and welcoming atmosphere that helped us truly relax and enjoy the moment. The ceremony felt effortless, meaningful, and perfectly guided, and we’re so grateful for his professionalism, kindness, and the care he put into making our day so special.
